Am trying to deal with the strangeness of the new place by finding continuities with the old one.
Today I found a lovely grand piano and played and sang for over an hour with no interruptions. It was a sanctuary in more ways than one.

you found an "away place"...the piano bench. Good for you. I'm a real fan of architect Sarah Susanka's philosophy about away places and their important role in our lives...even as brief a time as an hour.
